“How are you?”

We say these words easily, yet true connection goes far beyond language—it’s felt through presence, emotion, and quiet understanding.

When was the last time you stopped to truly listen to yourself?

In daily life, words help us connect, but they can also keep us on the surface. Silence gives us space to feel what’s real beneath it all.

This three-day retreat isn’t about avoiding speech—it’s a chance to rest, recharge, and meet yourself again. Through quiet moments in nature, you’ll rediscover calm, clarity, and the strength that comes from within.

When we step away from words, we find who we really are—free, grounded, and at peace.

Join us for this special weekday silent retreat and come home to your truest self.

What To Expect

Stay weird and stay unique.

Meditation, Sound Healing and Mindful Living:Liz

Liz Coetzee, originally from South Africa, arrived in Taiwan by chance and has called this island home for the past 30 years. Soon after her arrival, she felt a deep resonance with the traditional healing practices of Southeast Asia and Taiwan. The timeless wisdom around balance, health, and longevity inspired her lifelong exploration into the connection between body, mind, and spirit.

In 2012, Liz founded Rangoli Health, drawing inspiration from the delicate rangoli designs created in India during the Diwali Festival. These flowing, endless patterns beautifully reflect the wholeness and interconnection of life—a philosophy that continues to guide her work.

Through yoga, meditation, and mindful stillness, Liz invites participants to step away from the noise of everyday life and return to the quiet space within. She believes that this intentional pause offers profound rest, renews energy, and nurtures clarity, inner peace, and presence.

*This session will be held in English

Meditation, Journaling and Eye Gazing:Gina

“Follow your heart and you’ll realize that everything is connected.”

Gina has received her yoga qualification in places including Taiwan, Thailand and Nepal.

In her experience, she has felt unity with the universe by yoga, meditation, chanting and self observation and has also found a connection with her inner self that she has never felt before as a kid.

Gina believes that listening closely to your heart, and observing every movement can help you gain a better understanding of yourself.

*This session will be held in Chinese.

*This session can also be held in English and Chinese. Please contact @soulbarn official LINE account at least one week in advance if you need this service.

Space

Located in a quiet town at the foot of the mountains, this wooden house opens onto a grassy lawn surrounded by trees - and sometimes, you might even spot a giant tortoise slowly wandering across it!

The house was built by the owner and close friends, from collecting the wood to hand-finishing every detail. Each season brings its own atmosphere: fresh greens in spring, the sound of cicadas in summer, cool autumn air, and calm winter days.

Inside, warm wood furniture, tatami mats, and soft lighting make the space cozy and comfortable. You can wake up to the morning sun, watch the evening mist roll in, or simply sit quietly and listen to nature.

It’s a place to slow down and enjoy life’s simple things — a cup of tea, fresh air, and a peaceful afternoon.

Two types of accommodation is provided:
