Step into the mountains on an autumn afternoon.
Leave your phone behind. For the next three days, there’s no conversation and no internet, only the mountain breeze, the shadows of the trees, and yourself, slowly growing quiet.
For three days, we won’t speak, scroll, or make conversation with anyone. At first, it may feel unfamiliar. Your mind may be noisy, your body restless, and you may find yourself reaching for something to fill the empty space.
Gradually, you’ll start to notice more. On your morning walk, you feel the ground beneath each footstep. At mealtimes, you taste the sweetness of the rice and the freshness of the vegetables in every bite. As you stretch in the afternoon among the trees, your body begins to feel at home in this land. When you close your eyes at night, the weight of the whole day seems to fall away with each breath.
Together, we’ll explore different ways of coming home to yourself: walking meditation, morning chanting, stretching, eye gazing meditation, drawing, and free writing. We’ve also left plenty of open space where there’s nothing to do, so you can rest, unwind, and simply observe.
Before the retreat begins, we’ll explain how the silence works and then enter the quiet together. No experience with silent retreats, meditation, or mindfulness? You’re warmly welcome to join us!
Instructor
Meditation and Chanting: Gina
In the realm of sound, we will slowly listen to the natural rhythms of our bodies. Through chanting, we will awaken our ears and throats, loosening the constraints within and bringing awareness back to the present moment.
“Follow your heart and you’ll realize that everything is connected.”
Gina has received her yoga qualification in places including Taiwan, Thailand and Nepal.
In her experience, she has felt unity with the universe by yoga, meditation, chanting and self observation and has also found a connection with her inner self that she has never felt before as a kid.
Gina believes that listening closely to your heart, and observing every movement can help you gain a better understanding of yourself.

Space
Located in a quiet town at the foot of the mountains, this wooden house opens onto a grassy lawn surrounded by trees - and sometimes, you might even spot a giant tortoise slowly wandering across it!
The house was built by the owner and close friends, from collecting the wood to hand-finishing every detail. Each season brings its own atmosphere: fresh greens in spring, the sound of cicadas in summer, cool autumn air, and calm winter days.
Inside, warm wood furniture, tatami mats, and soft lighting make the space cozy and comfortable. You can wake up to the morning sun, watch the evening mist roll in, or simply sit quietly and listen to nature.
It’s a place to slow down and enjoy life’s simple things — a cup of tea, fresh air, and a peaceful afternoon.

Nourish
At Soul Barn’s community table, our private chefs will prepare warm, heartfelt plant-based meals just for you.
They bring a quiet passion for seasonal ingredients sourced from across Taiwan and cook it simply, letting its natural flavors shine.
With over a decade of culinary experience, Roy as the former head chef at several plant-based restaurants and a winner of multiple international culinary awards, he has spent years exploring the unique nature of each ingredient and discovering the gentlest way to bring out its true flavor.
Nicki likes to keep things simple. Honest ingredients, no fancy garnish, and food that feels warm and comforting, the kind of meal that sits well with both body and mind. Her kitchen is always full of new experiments, and over time they’ve shaped a style that’s distinctly her own.
Every ingredient gets the same careful touch, and Nicki loves finding new ways to bring out something different in it. Her cooking proves that healthy and delicious can go together, and that plant-based meals can be varied and truly satisfying.
