What would it be like to stay silent for three days?
You might wonder if three days without speaking would be hard. But a silent retreat isn’t just about not talking. It’s a gentle invitation to draw your attention back inward. Listen to your breath. Feel how your body is right now. Watch your thoughts come and go, and notice the emotions that quietly rise.
For these three days, there’s nowhere to be and nothing to rush toward. Wake slowly into morning meditation. In the afternoon, let the sound of crystal singing bowls melt away tension as you settle deeper into stillness. Sometimes there’s a guided meditation to help your emotions slowly settle. Other times, you simply sit in quiet gazing and breathe deeply, and realize how long it’s been since you’ve truly rested in your own body. As evening comes, hold a warm bowl of soup and eat in quiet, giving your full attention to every bite. When you’re tired, lie down. When you want to daydream, daydream. There’s nothing to do, and no one you need to be.
On the final day, we gather in a circle to end the silence together and share the voices you could only hear once things grew quiet. Then you’ll return to everyday life, carrying a deep sense of calm with you.
No experience with meditation or silent retreats? You’re warmly welcome! Before the retreat begins, we’ll walk you through how the silence works, including how to connect with fellow participants or ask for help during silent periods.
Instructor
Mindfulness Meditation and Body Relaxation: Yoanna
“In a world that is so fast paced, we all need to learn how to stay calm and move at our own pace.”
Yoanna has experienced healing and growth through Breathing Techniques, Yoga, and Meditation Practices, and she hopes to bring that experience to our attendees too.
In nature, we cultivated mindful awareness: “When you look, just look. When you listen, just listen. When you smell, taste, or touch, just do that. When you become aware, just be aware.” Through this non-judgmental practice, we opened ourselves up to a deeper, more present experience of the now.
*This session will be in Mandarin.
*Available in both English and Chinese. If you prefer bilingual guidance, please contact us via our official LINE account (@soulbarn) at least one week in advance.

Space
Located in a quiet town at the foot of the mountains, this wooden house opens onto a grassy lawn surrounded by trees - and sometimes, you might even spot a giant tortoise slowly wandering across it!
The house was built by the owner and close friends, from collecting the wood to hand-finishing every detail. Each season brings its own atmosphere: fresh greens in spring, the sound of cicadas in summer, cool autumn air, and calm winter days.
Inside, warm wood furniture, tatami mats, and soft lighting make the space cozy and comfortable. You can wake up to the morning sun, watch the evening mist roll in, or simply sit quietly and listen to nature.
It’s a place to slow down and enjoy life’s simple things — a cup of tea, fresh air, and a peaceful afternoon.
Two types of accommodation is provided:
Shared Room
Mixed Gender Shared Room/ Female Shared Room
*Single Bed Mattress will be provided.
*Why is the accommodation shared? The purpose behind shared accommodation is to create closer bonds between the participants.

Nourish
At Soul Barn’s community table, our private chefs will prepare warm, heartfelt plant-based meals just for you.
They bring a quiet passion for seasonal ingredients sourced from across Taiwan and cook it simply, letting its natural flavors shine.
With over a decade of culinary experience, Roy as the former head chef at several plant-based restaurants and a winner of multiple international culinary awards, he has spent years exploring the unique nature of each ingredient and discovering the gentlest way to bring out its true flavor.
Nicki likes to keep things simple. Honest ingredients, no fancy garnish, and food that feels warm and comforting, the kind of meal that sits well with both body and mind. Her kitchen is always full of new experiments, and over time they’ve shaped a style that’s distinctly her own.
Every ingredient gets the same careful touch, and Nicki loves finding new ways to bring out something different in it. Her cooking proves that healthy and delicious can go together, and that plant-based meals can be varied and truly satisfying.
